Mrs. Shackleton teaches K-6th Spanish, 3rd-8th grade Latin and is our Librarian.
When I was a child, I wanted to be either an archeologist or a librarian when I grew up. How fortunate I am to be working my dream job! It is a joy to spend time with your children and share with them the adventures found in books.
I earned a degree in Political Science from the University of Michigan and picked up a degree in History while employed at Lake Superior State University. I came to St. Mary’s School library by way of my children, both whom have since graduated from St. Mary’s. I started by volunteering in the library for my service hours. After several years, I was offered the position when the current librarian retired.
Mrs. Shackleton and her husband, Scott, have two sons who are graduates of St. Mary’s School. Henry, 19, is a junior at MIT and John, 16, is a junior at Sault High. We are members of St. Joseph’s parish. In my spare time I help manage the family business, Tanglewood Marsh Golf Course. I also enjoy reading, spending time with family, playing cards and board games, watching basketball, and traveling. I still hope to become an archeologist.
